I totally understand what you mean about hyped up products, i thought i would take a little risk on pre ordering at the cheaper price based on Tone2s' other products and man the risk was worth it, although still in beta stage and fixed at 6 voices for now, the sounds you can achieve through Gladiators synthesis methods are beautiful, take 2 saw waves and modulate them sub osc mode, 2x mono unison, 30db low pass fat filter and fat bass is easy, and thats without any effects or real effort. Keep your eyes on this one, and i believe the hype. I'm curious to give it a shot, so far nothing beats the Zebra/Sampler/Operator combo for me! Many of the new synth types (Krishna, etc.) sound like granular tricks you can do with sampler, but granular tricks sound better and are easy to control. But, we'll see once the mac demo comes out.
